Scarborough star Ben Ellis took time out of his busy West End schedule to have his photos taken at a local studio.
Ben,19, spent two hours in photo studios in Aberdeen walk and will use the photos for his portfolio.
His family have been using the shop since 1991 and the owners have seen him grow up.
Dean Lilley, who owns the business with Stuart Kille, said "He was exactly the same as he was the first day we met him. Hes a lovely down-to-earth guy."
Ben's 16 year old brother Nathan, who wants to go to stage school and will start auditioning later this year, has also had his photos taken at the shop for his portfolio.
Their mum Joanne Ellis, of Scalby Road, said "Ben had a really good time in the studio and loved being back in his home town even though it was only for a couple of days."
Ben, who was a contestant on the TV talent show ADWD, plays heart-throb Link Larkin in the hit musical hairspray at the Shaftsbury theatre.
He has been nominated for best supporting actor in a musical at the What's on stage theatergoers' choice awards and the winners will be announced next friday.
He will perform at a ceremony on Sunday February 24th where the winners will recieve their awards.
Mrs Ellis added: " Thankyou to all the people in Scarborough and the surrounding areas who voted for him."
