Ben is going to be doing some tv presenting on Noel Edmonds Sky One show in January 2009. Because of this he will be missing a few Saturday performances of Hairspray during January.

Its a live show and its not every week he'll be on but he wouldnt want anyone to book and be disappointed

How nice of Ben (and thanks to Lips for passing on the message) to let us know that he won't be in Hairspray for some Saturdays in January so we don't book and get disappointed - really appreciate it - thanks so much.

Just worked out that Ben will have been on TV at least once a month between August and January - how lucky we are!!

Ben will be appearing at the first live show and the last, recording during the week for all the others for anyone wanting to go.

We are here with Ben in London until tomorrow so have had a lovely christmas all together.

Ben bought his tree before we arrived thinking all the decorations were included Next year you wont recognise it.

Here is some more about what Ben is going to be doing on Noel's HQ - its a 5 week series - can't wait

"The campaign will begin with Raynes Park High School where the majority of children can't afford lessons or instruments, but have a real passion, ability and enthusiasm for music.

The school also has a specialist unit for 20 students with autistic spectrum. With our instrument amnesty Noel's HQ will aim to change that. The feature is fronted by Ben James-Ellis (Any Dream Will Do, Hairspray: The School Musical) who will be following the progress of the children each week and there will be a range of musicians who will visit the school to give master-classes and drop off instruments, plus celebrated musical director Gareth Valentine (Acorn Antiques, Aladdin) has taken on the challenge of teaching the children and preparing them for their final performance."
